Here's how it works: The sprinkler travels under it's own power using the garden hose as it's track. The sprinkler is ideal for large, wide open lawns or those irregularly-shaped, difficult-to-water curved flower beds. The sprinkler will pull up to 200 feet of hose. The adjustable arms can be rotated to give water spray coverages from 4 feet all the way up to 50 feet wide. The sprinkler comes with two travel speed settings--20 feet per hour or 40 feet per hour. It can be used as a stationary sprinkler by simply flipping the drive pawls
